Alton Redbirds
The Alton Sr. Redbirds play in the Southwestern Conference of Metro-East Illinois. It is one of the toughest divisions to play in the 618 Area Code. Alton starts another year with new coach, in Dwight Tungett, after a 2-7 record under Nate Albaugh. Albaugh lasted one year at the helm, following Joe Hook. Tungett was an assistant for Joe Hook for ten years before becoming an assistant under Ric Johns at Belleville West last season.
